This is what Mark would like to do for Baltimore and Maryland:

1) Help Maryland and Baltimore be more business and worker friendly:

The government has created an over-regulated environment for job creation that is devaluing the honor and integrity of people trying to work together to build a prosperous Maryland.  According to CNBC's 2009 "Cost of Doing Business" ranking of the States, Maryland ranks 42nd out of 50.  Taxes need to be lowered to increase the productivity of businesses which increases revenue for both business and government and that is a good thing.  This leads to job creation.  Higher taxes means less faith in people and business to grow Maryland in a positive way.

2) Effective, efficient, and balanced-budget government:

I want to make sure that the taxes you and I pay are wisely utilized to maximize benefits to the people of Maryland, not to the special interests or to goals of self-serving politicians.  I also believe that lower taxes will increase our ability to have a sustainable economy.  Spending money we don't have is not prudent.  We cannot allow this current political system to burden our future with their unbalanced checkbook.   We need to prioritize the budget items and measure them according to their merits in the financial health of the economy.  The financial health of the economy should be the standard by which an increase or decrease is warranted.  An example: the Real Estate and Property Taxes should not have automatic increases, even in down times.  This is an example of irresponsible and unbalanced governance that creates an unfairness between the government and the people.

3) Affordable, effective, and user-friendly Healthcare System:

I want to help providers and consumers work together for the best care possible in an affordable, effective, and user-friendly way with less government strings.  What works better, people working together with the government on their backs or alongside them to be ready to help where it is truly necessary for government support?  There is a difference: Monkey on your back means out of balance government, government alongside you means you have more balance and freedom to what is necessary for you.

4) most important - Restore honor and integrity to the government:

I have heard from everyone I have met in my ministry and work how there is no honor and integrity in the government today.  Your concerns and votes demand such!  The current political establishment is too focused on building up their self-image.  They have lost the focus to "Listen" to the people.  Again, where is the balance in the system to really work for the people, of the people, and by the people?   I will work together with you because you are the voice and reason for this great country's character in continuing to protect, preserve, and promote the right to pursue Life, Liberty, and Happiness.

5) Tough and Fair Criminal Justice Programs:

It grieves my heart that the whole of the Criminal Justice System is becoming robotic, having no common-sense or effective inter-departmental communication.  I believe it is important through community and law enforcement networking together that we have a Tough and Fair Criminal Justice Program that works humanely and has the honor and integrity that we deserve. The relationship between the people, law enforcement, the judicial system, and the parole system is woefully lacking the RESPECT necessary to truly and humanely help people be valued in their various roles.  This requires a re-engineering of the criminal justice system to become more cost-effective and truly rehabilitative in character rather than being "business" minded and having little respect for the human being.

6) Savvy Technologically-advanced Education & Classrooms:

Education is more effective outside of the classroom than inside, why, because the learning environment in the classroom is not on par with what happens outside of the classroom.  I want to create Savvy Technologically-advanced Education & Classrooms with the help of the teachers and technology industry.  Our kids are so worth it!  Let’s give them the support they deserve to achieve their potential.  They are the most important investment we can make.

The first letter of each of the six points spells out the word "HEARTS."  I want us all to put our hearts together to help protect, preserve, and promote a healthy perspective towards our government and restore it to serve us, not enslave us.  I will work to improve the lives of all people as a public servant in the honor and integrity that you deserve!  I greatly appreciate your attention and support.  May God bless District 41 and Maryland.
